Ram football player Carter Morton has been nominated for the Des Moines Register’s Male Athlete of the Week. The winner is selected by online voting available to the public.
The Register on Sept. 23 published the following about Morton: “Morton, a junior receiver, has helped lead Greene County to a 5- 0 start this season. His team beat Shenandoah, 62- 0, Friday. The five wins are already the most for the team since 2013. Morton has caught 20 passes for 475 yards and six touchdowns this fall. Morton has caught at least one touchdown pass in all of his team’s games.”
